Parents, siblings, and relatives will meet the Scouts at the West Point Visitors Center at about 12:10 on Saturday, April 10th.
At 12:30 PM we will board a West Point Tours bus for a three hour tour of the campus.
This tour is a combined bus
and walking tour with a guide on the bus which tells the story of West Point, its role in the Revolution, its famous history along with stories about
graduates who shaped our nation. The tour will bring the long grey line
to the present as you learn of the cadet experience and West Point’s continuing
role in training the leaders of tomorrow. This tour goes around the post
with stops at the Main Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point overlooking the Hudson River and the Plain.
West Point Cemetery and Old Cadet Chapel. This tour emphasizes the history of West Point through the stories of famous individuals buried at the West Point Cemetery along with chapel which was built in 1837.
The tour guide will walk us through a few key rooms in the museum then let us go through at our own pace. If you have never been to West Point, it is a beautiful campus and you will be very impressed with the tour and the history.
If you have specific questions, you can contact Martin Treich who is arranging this tour.
