Weather: Plan for winter camping dress in layers and bring clothing suitable for the day outside.

We’ll spend the weekend at Camp Bullowa enjoying outdoor activities selected by the scouts in the form of a “Scout Olympics”.  This trip should provide scouts with opportunities for skill requirements completion, and a chance to have some low-key fun outside. 
Details:  We will leave OLPH Friday evening about 5:00 PM.  Should arrive at Camp Bullowa at 6:00 PM with traffic.  There is limited cabin camping (16) and others may tent outside as approved by the scoutmaster. Depending upon the conditions, there may be an opportunity to log winter camping nights.

Gear:

• Positive Attitude, Adaptability
• Tent
• Sleeping bag
• Sleeping pad
• Wool blanket(s) to supplement summer-weight sleeping bag
• Headlamp – fresh batteries
• Water bottle
• Mess kit
• Duffel or backpack – gear will go to cabin in trailer
• Foul weather gear- e.g. winter jacket, hat gloves, and even snow pants may be necessary
• Boots – snow or hiking boots
• Fleece and clothing for layers.

Food:

• Friday evening come fed or bring a bagged meal
• Saturday Breakfast (hot)
• Saturday Lunch (deli style)
• Saturday night dinner (hot)
• Sunday grab and go breakfast

Tenting:

• Scouts require TENT camping to advance. We will use the cabin for living space and plan to sleep OUTSIDE in tents.  Plan for cold weather accommodations.
