Dates to remember:
April 1 – Campership applications due to NNJ Council
April 1 – Registration opens on website for merit badge signups (tentative)
April 10 – Early bird deadline (fees go up $50.00 after this date!) (Council’s deadline is April 17; we need time to pay from the Troop Treasury)
July 23 – July 29 (Week 4) – Summer Camp!!!
Camp Fees:
Important Note: Do not make payments directly to the Northern New Jersey Council. All Payments will be handled through Troop 49 to reduce additional accounting work on both sides.
Through our fundraising efforts, Troop 49 is able to give each scout a $50 credit for use for one NNJC Summer Camp weeks at either Floodwood or Turrell.

Bottom line – If you’re not going to Floodwood, and you pay before April 10, the cost is $345.
2017 CAMPERSHIP FORMS EXTENDED TO APRIL 1, 2017: The NNJ Council offers what is called a campership to assist families whose financial circumstances would not permit them to send their Scout to summer camp without financial assistance. Campership applications are due to Northern NJ Council BY NO LATER THAN April 1, 2017 – a copy of that form can be found by clicking on this hyperlink: http://www.nnjbsa.org/document/fullcampershipform2017/169527
The cost of attending summer camp can be significant, as such, Troop 49 and the Northern NJ Council offer financial assistance to those who are interested and qualify. All inquiries will be held strictly confidential.
Medical Forms:
BSA MEDICAL FORMS PARTS A, B & C: Each scout is required to have completed BSA medical forms Part A, B & C in order to attend summer camp at Turrell.
Those forms can be accessed directly from the nnjbsa.org homepage or here.
Medical forms already completed for your Scout between July 31 and today will cover your scout for this trip. The Boy Scouts require forms that are less than one year old form the date we are attending Turrell. Turrell NOW requires the line on Form B beneath the medication list to be signed or stamped by the physician and signed by the parent. They will not let scouts in to camp without these signatures if there is ANY medication listed. Note that Form C is required to be completed and signed by a physician. Please do not wait to schedule an appointment with your son’s doctor – better to get it over and done if possible.
