RAFTING TRIP LEHIGH RIVER JUNE 9-10, 2018
What: Rafting on the Lehigh River with Whitewater Challengers
When: Leaving Afternoon of June 9 to Sunday June 10
Where: Camping on the property of Whitewater Challengers
Who: Scouts / Parents
Fee: $75.00.
Details:
Whitewater Challengers is a 2 hour drive from the Oakland/Ramsey/Mahwah area. Plan would be to leave OLPH in the late afternoon Sat arriving around 5. We would head out on the river Sunday morning for a 3-4 hour trip and head home after. This weekend is a dam release weekend. Link to website – http://whitewaterchallengers.com.
Gear:
- Positive Attitude, Adaptability
- Tent
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Headlamp – fresh batteries
- Water bottles or bladder – plan on AT LEAST 2 quarts of liquid
- Mess kit – no trailer, so no paper supplies
- Duffel or backpack – contents in zip-lock bags
- Rain Gear
- Water shoes
- Fleece – likely to be cool in the evenings
- Nylon shorts/pants – NO COTTON

- Sun Screen
- Sun Glasses
- Dry Bag for critical items –
This trip can also be done as a one-day trip with a very early start. We added the night for scouts to get a tent night in and for those that need to cook. We need to know if whether you prefer camping or just going out on Sunday. When you sign up, let us know and we will make a decision based upon the majority.
RSVP BY MAY 16TH, WE NEED TO GET OUR RAFTS RESERVED AND TENT SPOTS AS WELL. After that date, scouts will be accepted if there is space with the outfitter to accommodate them. No guarantee offered. There will be no weather-related refunds.
