Come join us for a Camporee at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. Kings Point is one of the five federal service academies that train and educate officers for all branches of the military. This unique institution must also prepare maritime officers who carry out the sealift operations that enable our armed forces to be effective around the world. The campus is situated on the north shore of Long Island and we will be camping on the waterfront April 29-30.

- Navigation Simulator demonstrations
- Engineering Lab tours
- Merchant Marine Museum Tours
- Basic Seamanship exercises
- Training Vessel tours
- First Aid exercises with EMS squad
- EMS ambulance tours
- Military Drill Instruction
- Flag etiquette, Morning Colors and Retreat
- Formation PT
- Chili cook-off
- Evening campfire
Registration for this trip closes Wednesday night April 12 (revised date). We have to mail the roster in advance of our visit, so this will be a hard cut-off.
We will depart early Saturday morning, likely 7:00 AM for an 8:30 AM arrival. We will spend Saturday at the Merchant Marine Academy. The precise plan will be supplied by the Midshipman. We will depart for home Sunday after breakfast. The fee for the campout is $25.00.
